Henry Holland is a British designer who rose to prominence after producing a line of tongue-in-cheek fashion-groupie t-shirts with slogans including “Do Me Daily Christopher Bailey” and “Cause Me Pain Hedi Slimane”.
House Of Holland’s (HOH) humourous and irreverent take on fashion was an immediate success. Adored by fashion insiders and celebrities alike, HOH quickly became internationally renowned and acclaimed.
I worked with Henry Holland on two sunglasses collections. In some instances frames were viewed as blank canvases for comedic slogans, at other times acetates and metals were precisely cut and sliced to subvert traditional eyewear silhouettes. The first collection was awarded WGSN’s Accessories Designer Of The Year (2015)—see here, the second garnered global press after being modelled by pop star Lily Allen (as seen on this page).
